Heartland Ministry

Ordinary people can help change lives and eternal destinies. Let's come alongside those who have walked farther down the highway of life. We will all walk this path. None of us wants to walk it alone. We must be the sent ones. They cannot come to us. The harvest is plentiful; the workers are few.

"How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the starving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because, some day in life, you will have been all of these." -George Washington Carver.

Who:
Anyone with gifts of encouragement, mercy, compassion, healing, helps, evangelism, and/or worship. This is an opportunity to let your light shine, to be a letter from Christ and display God's love in a tangible.

Why:
When Jesus was touched deeply by the painful circumstances of another, He was moved to action. Because of who He is and what He done, we can reach out in confidence, expressing God's unfailing love and faithfulness to others. We can bring hope and healing in the power of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus felt waves of compassion, God the Father did extraordinary things: healing the leper; feeding the 5,00; opening blind eyes;raising the widow's son. He calls us to imitate Christ and reach out in His name being moved with compassion.

What:
Our ministry will be three-pronged:
Word
Worship

Our Goals:

  • To help residents grasp how tenderly and totally committed to God is to their well-being.

  • To bring words of encouragement, comfort, and strengthen them.
  • To present the gospel.
  • To nourish the life God has given.
